Eh, I wasn't big on the sliding. And I can see the wings being an additional expense; they require more metal and fab time, plus the extra tube and bends it requires. Totally understandable.
It's the QC issues that I'm seeing that make me nervous.
Yeah, the model with the wings is sold separately from the base model without. And its a good bit more expensive. Not saying that its not worth it, but the whole thing is giving me pause. Not sure I wanna jump anymore. Frustrating because I was really stoked about this initially.
Tell y'all what, I've gotten more compliments from the lighting system on this truck than anything else.
I can control everything via a wifi controller that initially I was running through my phone, but I've decided to get a dedicated ipod for the light duties along with carrying my music...
Yesterday was day 2 with my truck.
Went to a local watering hole with my buddy and backed in.
A while later I went out to grab something from my console and when I unlocked it, the couple that had parked next to it were walking out and it caught their attention.
The wife started looking in...
I REALLY like this. What all went into the install, and where do I find the bits?
Also....you mentioned that you will NEVER do the door pocket lighting again. Why is that?
Thanks!!!
I'm with FMC Technologies, currently based in St. John's, Newfoundland. Love it here. Love it enough that I have only been home for about 30 days this year. But I had to buy the Raptor now since this is the last run.
You know anyone looking for subsea completions and construction...
So is my tint. :-p LOL!
But I'm doing red accent lighting in my vents and such, and probably won't turn it on when I'm going down the road. Totally understnad the safety aspect though.
This was the first thing that I thought of, but then I remembered that overhead rack, and hell, I'd build a stainless AR just for the sexy factor, to show off on the ceiling! LOL!! If I need an AR, and I need to get to it quick, then Darwin will have probably already acted and my Spidey senses...
AR-15s are an EXCELLENT solution to dog packs/coyotes in a cattle pasture!! :-) Effective out to 300 yards with mild optics, and plenty of follow up shots if you need them.
Excellent utility weapon.
I really don't want to be within decent pistol range with an angry (and hungry) mamma dog...
^^^^^^^^
That is one of my big concerns. I know that everyone here cans be desert runners and mudslingers, literally.....just hoping someone might have an idea or might have seen something.
I have already had the dealership install a console vault.... Lost a 1911 to a hoodlum with a...
I don't have possession of the truck yet, LOL, but when I do I probably won't be off road a lot, and I plan on unloading it (should it happen) when I do go do something fun enough to dislodge anything.
I live just outside of Houston, Tx, Bulletnjm.
When I was in college (I like to think a short wile back) I saw a fella that had a jacked up F-350 with a rifle rack mounted above his head, in the cab. I'd like to do something similar so that I can keep an AR or a 10/22 close at hand, and I've seen a couple of solutions and products online...
LOL....if my company didn't block all YouTube, I wouldn't get anything done. I just can't find a good explanation why I can't put my cell phone down....7 days and counting!!!
Sheesh, it's taken me 4 days to read through this entire post during my downtime at work (which I have a lot of!!)
Still giggling at a lot of the stuff that people spew without thinking, and mental notes have been taken.
Can't wait to get home next week and pick up my new baby!!
That Diamondback is damn sexy...what kinda weight can it hold, SVT? Like can it support my 300lb ass while I'm drinking beer? LOL!
I ended up going with the Fibermax....the price was right, and the reviews on other threads was great. Can't wait to get my truck and get it on!!!
Eleven days till I fly home and pick 'er up!! Can't wait!!
I'm working on the Terra Nova project, offshore Newfoundland, Rockdoc. LOVE it here!! I took off this past weekend and drove out to Buenavista....absolutely beautiful!!! Just wish I'd had my truck to go play!! LOL!
Yeah, I feel...
It's been a LONG time since I've 'tuned' anything, and at the time I used a timing light and turned the distributor...LOL!
What kind of 'tunes' are out there, and how does one go about the process of getting tuned?
Thanks!!
