You should be using what ever it came with. The is two kinds. The taper bar and the crush washer
i know ppl that have used the old tapered in the new head. ♂️. I don’t know enough to say they are wrong. But I didn’t
i ordered one ,but with the softening of the market the trade value sucks compared to past years. Im not taking it. Tuned mine today and am looking into custom seats(shoulda ordered the recaros)
I did mine today , the 22s do use the flat gasket style. I found some ford info and they seemed pretty firm on the indexing. I also found info saying torquing to 18 lbs would insure proper clocking. They sure dont move much from seated to 18 lbs
I was told this is important in the gen3. How does one die this and not under or over tighten ? Assuming you’re not randomly lucky with how they are positioned at proper tightness
i saw on the raptor fb page where a guy removed the tail pipes and installed turn downs just past the axle. I was surprised how clean it looked. I think im going to do it.
