VIPER MAX 13000lb 4x4 Recovery Winch with Wireless System & 2" Receiver Cradle

New idea instead of a hidden receiver hitch. Here you can buy plans/drawings (if you need them) to fabricate a 2" receiver mount that replaces your tow hook - mounted in the same location, same factory holes, etc. Then you just have a couple pounds vs. 45 lbs or whatever a front receiver hitch...

Eliminate bed sag when towing(less expensive)?

I'm not so sure about the TorkLift Stableloads. It's just a gap filler between your springs and overload spring. I would think those would be noisy as well, no? Explained here: TorkLift StableLoad Rear Suspension Upgrade with Quick-Disconnects - Lower Overload Springs TorkLift Vehicle...

Eliminate bed sag when towing(less expensive)?

Thanks for the information. I was seriously considering Hellwig. Dang. Good find on the other one. I'll look more into them. You might find this towing guide from Forest River helpful. That's where I found out about the Road Master kit...

Eliminate bed sag when towing(less expensive)?

I have been researching this as well with the forethought of getting a toy hauler. Here are additional ideas to the Timbrens. I am favoring the Timbrens but want to know about the ride when not towing, both in town and mountain dirt roads. Don't care about jumping but I like the ride cruising on...

Knocking Noise in 4 Wheel Drive

I tried like you said Y.J. and it didn't seem to be slipping/grinding in 4H. However, when going 40-55mph range in 4H can hear a whining sound I never heard before that sounds like it's coming from the same area/hub location. Took it into local Ford dealer and they gave me the usual, "We can't...

Knocking Noise in 4 Wheel Drive

I got stuck, high-centered in deep snow and had the knock and grinding sounds occur on my driver's side front wheel while tires were spinning in 4-high (not at a high-speed). I used 4-low for fear of further damage, and after a tractor pulled me out I tried shifting in and out of 4-high at...

Stock 17s & BFGs - rubbing on front inner wheel well

I got high centered in deep snow and while steering back and forth trying to get free, apparently my front tires rubbed on the lower control arms, both passenger and driver, as I can see rub marks on them from the tires now. Anyone had this issue? I broke the tree plug in the fender when...

    Infinite Reality's LED Thread

I bought and installed these for reverse lights before I found this thread. No idea what the watts are. I didn't think the factory ones seemed bright enough using the camera at night trying to avoid backing into trees in the forest when camping, etc. I haven't used them for that yet but they...

who wants extra length on their aux wires!? pics inside

I'll have go for another beer run, the remainder ended up only lasting halfway though the light mounting. But good god now that they're in it's cause for celebration! They look sharp although I foresee a bumper adjustment beer expenditure in my future. This forum has proved invaluable. Many...

    Drop hitch

4" drop and 6" drop have been the most common usage for me. I had a stock 2009 suburban and it required an 8" drop! The suburban receiver hitch is mounted on top of the frame and comes out of the middle of the bumper. Sounds like you have it figured out tho.

who wants extra length on their aux wires!? pics inside

This thread turned what I thought was a two beer job then headed to a six beer job back into a three beer job; thank you kindly for the thread! Great help lengthening the wires which I did only by using a razor blade and tracing the tape up to the fire wall. Damn you Ford for not wiring these...

    In-Vehicle Technology Team

If I put a gps topo map chip like this into the memory card slot I assume it will not work properly (see link). Is there a format or way to put a topo map memory card into the unit that will allow it to fully function? These are an invaluable tool for determining landownership, public access...

The Truth About The Ford Raptor

Boom! Read 'em and weep, mtrrider @ jalopolink. I guess they're not just any stock truck; they're a FORD. This is how Ford snuck a 2015 F-150 past everyone at the Baja 1000 Filthy in plain sight. By Zach Bowman January 14, 2014 / Photos by Foutz Motorsports Read more: 2015 Ford F-150 Baja...

PDP Contour Fox Logo Mud Flaps Installed! Pics!

Approximately 90% rock 'ping' reduction on gravel roads. Many thanks for the thread! Can't wait to see how they help with the mud & snow. I was not pleased to find mud inside the bottom front corner of my front doors after traveling down a muddy road, and this was the main reason I bought them...

Thank you Andy with A.R.E. Big thanks to Andy! I ordered my truck cap and it turned out great! I like the looks of it, it fits perfectly, no leaks in a helluva rainstorm last week and lighter rain over the weekend. Andy was very helpful in answering questions and hooking me up with a...
