Yep as mentioned by Haynes the DOT/SAE fog lights have a nice cutoff and are much better for on road driving as far not blinding other drivers and also being able to see.

Regarding the lens color, we offer a yellow lens as well and definitely agree that yellow is more effective in the fog. I personally think the amber looks better though :). For a rear facing dust light, amber or blue works well.
i've used the Aurora version of this light in the past and it worked well. Now we carry bars that have both rows as amber or white instead of just top row amber and bottom row white.
