Agree. Disable it with jumper and move on. No warranty implications of tune that way.
I am curious to see a video on '18 jumper, as I am not sure wire colors are same as '17 as switch has moved from dedicated ASS switch on right to center in '18 and is now combined with another switch in...
...it sticks up above the rest of the dash...
Makes it look almost like an afterthought...
This pic is from a new '18 Lariat, but Raptor is identical...
Saw a Magnetic today at dealership and almost makes the trip appear lighter. I'd go with Magnetic if this were my intent, but I prefer Shadow Black personally.
Also think I recall seeing trailer gain output on ACC auto braking...but not certain on this. Might just have been with cruise on, but not engaged.
I can confirm that it's (ACC) definitely NOT disabled in tow mode while trailering a 24' cargo trailer with electric brakes tho. My truck is a...
That's not accurate. We use it all the time while towing, as that's actually almost what it is best for when you are stuck in the slow (RH) lane allot behind slower vehicles...have to believe it is exact same system from what I have read.
Heard something rattling around as I went thru the drive thru this am at Burger King.
Pulled over and figured out it was behind center cap on LF wheel. Worried it was the main nut, but got it home and pulled off center cap and found this….
Pure Michigan!
Do you just go online with your VIN to schedule, or should I expect some sort of formal invite letter?
It's been over a month since I picked up my truck and am surprised not to have seen anything in the mail about it yet...
Interested in tailgate pic as well, as it is an applique delete. No Raptor technology package tho...makes it a good $66k price point truck....especially at MSRP vs. ADM.
Same deal here, just mine was a more stealthy silver vs. yellow. Retracted bed extender covers it most of the time and tonneau covers entire bed anyway...plus no questions if ever warranty time. No biggie. Stress less, live longer.
Linex did a nice job on mine. Truck-Works in Lee's...
Looks like Ford swapped positions of the Auto Start/Stop and the Front Camera switches. Hope it is still easily hack-able via jumper wire (probably new wire colors/connector pin-out locations to re-determine at a minimum).
Good if you disengage the ASS, but more of a reach if you opt to...
The plastic plug has a "coarse" thread...like 1 turn and it is all the way in...search plastic Ford drain plug to see pic. Ours doesn't have a socket recess just finger tab and release tabs. Assume people were breaking release tabs getting on the 3/8" square with a ratchet without releasing...
I was playing with these inboard sensors this evening and noticed that the plastic they are mounted on is subject to pretty easy deflection. Suspect some are bent towards hitch creating issue...seems like can bend away a bit and put some sort of spacer behind but that's a project for another...
Same here. Keys have a number on them making me think there are different key codes....wrote that number down all over the place so I would have it if lost...
The 2018 pics up on the configurator make me think the following related to 2018 changes:
B&O on center dash speaker
Shark fin style XM antenna on roof
Same tailgate with applique, but an "ECOBOOST" badge has been added to lower RH corner. Still no definition on applique delete tailgate...
