Thanks! Ya I really like the TRX. I miss some small things about the Raptor but I would do it again. Now if I could afford a R I would totally do that over the TRX. You really can't go wrong with either for the most part.
Old man picked up his R last night. Amazing truck. If I could have afforded one I would have gotten one as well. Traded in my Gen3 for the TRX. Both trucks are sweet. Raptor more refined, but can't go wrong with either.
I had the crease from the get go - Had the cover replaced 3 times. Dealer never gave me issues on replacing. after the third creased within a day of putting it on, I just gave up. Its a manufacturing issue.
I ended up telling my dealer (after seeing the thread on the F-150 forums) that is was likely a bad APIM that would need to be replaced, this kind of forced them to do a hard reset and update to check the module (which was fine) but then allowed mine to finally get the updates.
My update was stuck for a few weeks. Once I took it to the dealer and had them force it to update, ive since receive a few ota updates after no problem. Suggest taking it to the dealer and having them do it.
I called in again, they said my update has been downloading for about a week. Not sure why it would take so long, even when connected to WiFi. They said if I don't get it by the 8th when the update times out, to take it into the dealer to force an update (even though my dealer said they...
The paint quality control has become a joke. On my less than 6 month old Bronco, looks like the black paint is 20 years old, like they honestly forgot to clear coat it or something, my 13' Black Raptor paint looks wayyyy better than a brand new vechile. Of course Ford says they cannot do...
Mine was at the dealer for 3 weeks, got all the recal work done. I am doing this on my own. May be black magic, but as soon as I put the parking brake on, it said I had a update (that then quickly dissapeared)
The directions are pretty basic, is your car parked in a safe area, connected to wifi ,80% battery, parking brake on. She also said to put the schedule maintanince around mindihgt, but not exactly midnight for some reason.
Call # also mentioned to make sure the car had its parking brake on which I wasn't doing. Went to check now and it finally said I have a update, but then it dissapeared and says up to date, with no update happening. Who knows.
Still no update, even after being at the dealer for 3 weeks. I know my phone software is up to date, as I got the update in my Bronco. Sad boi. hopefully soon.
The suede is nice, but in the long run it doesn't hold up. Loved in in my OG lighting years ago, but after ahwile its gets pretty beat. I think the raptors will wear better over the longterm.
Yes, they have had Ford authorize the repairs. After the first replacement, and hours in their shop the seat came with a big crease right off the bat, I refused delivery. Its in getting another set put on currently, hopefully will know by tomorrow if they can actually fix the issue.
Okay so I have been doing some research on this. For the most part while the truck needs a update, if your using Android Auto you will need the Android Auto 8.8 version which is called coolwalk. This is a server side update, so sideloading it won't really work. Depends on your phone, carrier...
