I had the bedrug/rubber mat combo in my 13. I searched thru my amazon purchases and it was a DEEZEE. I bought one for the 17. I like the factory look of the carpeted sides but plywood and lumber do not slide well on the rug. It catches on the rug and makes all these fuzzy pulls. No spray in...
How do you think it would fit with a bedrug? Had one in my 13 w a rug and it fit great. Can't remember manufacturer. Might have been a model designed for factory bedliner so it was a bit smaller.
I understand about the fender and hood material. Firewall and metal fender supports are what appears to be primer as well. Can even see the red glue or sealer between them. Just looking for some silver, white or avalanche guys to take a peek underneath and report back body color or a matte...
Can anyone else confirm they only have primer in the engine compartment ? No idea how I never noticed before. Must have been the because the ignot silver is so light. Same thing on firewall and under the actual hood.
My garage is full so Raptor sits outside getting shit on by Gypsy Moth caterpillars all day long. Anyone bought a cover yet that is easy to take on and off just to keep the mess down till they are gone?
"Low and Slow" haha. That's what is says on the ranger station wall here. I've let my daughter sit on my lap and steer the truck driving slow on the dunes since she was about 4. I would bet the Raptor could do a lot more than the 5mph limit we have here. We air down our SUV's to 12 lbs psi.
Never been to that ORV beach. Do you have to be a resident or get a sticker? I had half a dozen first gen 80's Toyota pickups and 4Runners in my 20's, all w 33" tires and lifted of course. haha. Drove them all over those Cape Cod beaches. Hatches Harbor is prob one of the greatest beaches in the...
Wife and I have been going to Cape Cod ORV beaches for 25 years. Race point and Sandy Neck mostly. I remember going as a kid in the back of my Dads 77 Landcruiser. Never taken any of my Raptors tho. Guess I'm just too OCD to leave the Raptor in a hotel or condo parking lot for the rest of the...
I will start with lines, rotors and pads and make the decision on calipers from there. Do you have a link? Are they drilled/slotted? Ceramic or metallic pads?
How can you be so confident unless you slipped in my house and took my truck for a comparison test drive against yours ? Maybe mine will break in a bit and improve to an "adequate" level but that's all I would expect from the stock brakes. In my error, I referred to my other vehicles I drive...
Had them on my 13 (black) and on my 17 (silver). They do look like dents, I decided to live with it on both rather than have them make it worse or create more problems.
After driving a Gen1 for 4 years I can tell the difference. Even compared to the other 3 cars I drive it is very noticeable. Maybe yours is different than mine. I was just looking for opinions from others before I go to the dealer or buy replacement parts. Isn't that the point of a forum?
I wasn't expecting Mustang braking but its almost a safety concern. Do a 0-60 blast then try and stop. I only have 300 miles as well. I was thinking performance rotors and pads if they do not improve with more miles. Some drilled rotors with a rust proof coating would be nice so the hats don't...
Anyone else feel the brakes are almost scary under powered? My truck did sit for almost 5 months before I drove it. No vibrations or pulling, just seems mushy and like I have to really stomp on it to stop from high speed. Looking if anyone has had the dealer fix this or should I upgrade to...
I sent bak an email w pics above. Worst case I'll rip some acrylic or something w the table saw in a long tapered shim. Without some type of shim it seems the flaps on the cover won't seal as well because the cover won't sit as low. My 13 had a taper on the bed but the gen2 seems pretty close to...
Here is a screenshot from a 2017 Ford Raptor install on youtube.

Clearly has shimmed rails not a block of plastic like I received.
This is what I got. Anyone else have their bakflip rails look like this? First of all, big gap on bottom is where clamp pressure is bending bed. Secondly, the manual states rails must be level. There is no way to get this level with that plastic shim on top. Just looks wrong.
