    Gen 3 self driving hacks

Mine does this as well. It doesn’t go into the next lane but definitely is a bit skiddish at times passing vehicles.

    8k miles now…

Normal AC operation per owners manual as someone already stated. It was that way in my wife’s 2020 explorer ST as well, I believe all current model fords do it. Owners manual gives the reason why.

    Air Conditioning - not working

Hit the air flow button, is anything highlighted? I’ve never had this happen while driving, only when starting it and hear the fan but nothing coming out the vents. Then I see no air flow setting is selected, once I select the middle one it comes on.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Someone, either in this thread or the General discussion section one, had the front right strut replaced recently and it resolved his clunking.

    Subtle Clunking

I feel you, and understand your decision. I’ve been waiting for some down time to rip it apart. This Saturday I’ll be taking the front right suspension apart while running some troubleshooting tests prior. I’m going to find the culprit since my dealer is incompetent and can’t even get it in...

In the other thread on the Suspension section, a members rear shocks were replaced and it didn’t fix the issue.

New Gen 3 issue-random window roll down

When you roll it up it hits the top and then backs down? That’s how I’m understanding it. Easy fix: lift and hold window button UP until it hits the top and stays there. It’s how you set it. Had this issue on my wife’s Explorer ST and have had this happen twice on my gen 3.

Read your owners manual, it explains this to a T.

What do we think of Antimatter Blue???

I didn’t want AMB, but then saw it in person and love it. It’s an awesome color, but some don’t like it just as some don’t like orange, silver, white, etc. to each their own. Swirls and marring don’t really apply to me. I paint correct and coat it as soon as I get a new vehicle. I maintain it...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

There are two threads, one here and one in general discussion. I’m not taking mine apart, while being an aircraft and diesel mechanic for 20 years now and fully capable, I’ve found zero degradation while driving nor off roading in the southern New Mexico desert/mountain crawling. Performas...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Go read every comment, some have done many things to duplicate and then troubleshoot.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

This is identical to mine except it doesn’t matter the speed. Coming out of my driveway at 1 mph will have the clunk.

    Subtle Clunking

Considering this recall was for f150’s manufactured before any Raptors were being built, I’d say no. But ya never know!

    Subtle Clunking

When I pull out of my driveway, big dip, with the front, I hear the sound on the front right. I literally get the front to exit, hear it, then stop. Then when the rear goes over the dip, no sound. I never hear it in the rear except when I bounce the rear up and down. I’m 99% certain mine is the...

    Ceramic Coating

$800 is very cheap for a reputable detailer. You won’t get 5 years out of it unless you maintain it extremely well while washing weekly and not going more than every two weeks. Ceramic coatings are amazing, but they are high maintenance. I recommend a polyoxsilane coating for ease of use with...

    That's it...I'm out

Have fun in your Tesla, hopefully range anxiety isn’t applicable to your lifestyle. My buddy has had a Model 3 since late 2018 and I hate that POS. Such a cheap feeling interior. Those damn door handles are for little skinny Jean wearing skipper leg days forever moisturized Starbucks hands. I...

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Yep, same noise as everyone else. I’ll schedule an Appt to have it looked at.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Ya my clunk or whatever you want to call it definitely isn’t that sound. But doesn’t mean it won’t get like that.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Anyone have a video of the sound by chance?

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

I’m not getting the sound with the front area, I get it when I bounce the bed up and down. Not coming from the shocks or driveshaft. It sounds like it’s near the bed and cab junction area. Literally sounds like all my other trucks so I’m gonna leave it alone for now.

    Subtle Clunking

I don’t get anything to make noise when messing with the front, but when I shake the rear up and down I get the clunky dull sound I hear at lower speeds (5-45 mph). It seems to be coming from the bed/cab junction area. Can’t find anything loose but it definitely isn’t coming from my rear shocks...

    Subtle Clunking

Member FreedomTransAm sent me a message yesterday stating the below. Haven't made an appt yet for mine, was going to wait till 1k miles before going since the manual states there can be abnormal driving experiences during the first 1k. My local dealer's service department is one of those "we...
