Almost froze my **** off leveling out the lights but it’s done. I’d prefer one even beam across the LEDs but I’m not sure how possible that is. My KID telluride has amazing lighting with one LED.
Despite the cold weather I installed the Moshimoto XB LED headlights. One of the easiest installs ever. Not sure if it was worth the price tags, time will I guess.
All, Is OPEN ECU a possibility on the GEN1 platform? For those who don't know, it was a software program/interface that gave tuners complete access to the ECU, think of like jailbreaking your iphone but for you vehicle. I've used it on expensive European platforms, I have to assume Ford ECU's...
and for ***** and giggles. i'll dump all of the vehicles i've ever owned. It might be helpful to understand where i'm coming from and why i'm gonna do all kind of dumb things to this truck. 1987 CHEVY CAMARO RS 1996 PONTIAC GRAND AM GT 2005 FOR FOCUS SVT CD SILVER 5 DOOR 2007 MAZDASPEED3 2006...
The winter is upon us in MA, with that being said, bigger projects (shenanigans) are going to held off until the springs. Instead I'm going to focus on "freshening" up the things that bug the shit out of me. On the forefront of these issues is lighting. Maybe it is because the Gen 2 and TRX...
While trying to follow the reverse light harness, I found a wire that was ran through the passenger side tail lights and into the bed. The wires attached to LEDs that were attached to underside of the railing. I was also able to find where the drainage tube dumped, that was a win.
Next I removed the broken Grampy reverse lights. These were wired through both the battery and the AUX harness. (?) The jack ass used a self tapping screw to mount the brackets. I wired wheeled the corrosion and used some UPOL etched primer to seal things up. Additionally, the hardware was so...
I started to unfu€k some of the lighting work and discovered more issues. Overall, the wiring and lights were a rats nest. The front LED fog lights were puzzling, the LED specific wiring harness and mounts appear to rigid but the lights themselves are an Amazon special(?)!! The lights themselves...
6- Rear defroster, window, and heated mirrors. 6a. Rear defroster doesn't work via the button or through SYNC. 6b. Obliviously the heated mirrors aren't functioning. 6c. Sliding window works. After doing some research I'm going to check the fuses and jump the connector behind the rear...
3- Bed Cover 3a. Its appears to be 1in to short (that's what she said) 3b. I'm not sure where the drainage tubes ends and if there is any corrosion. I'm honestly afraid to pull the cover off and investigate into the mounted rail system.
2- Additional reverse lights. 2a. They don't work in reverse or through the OEM AUX controller. 2b. These were also drilled and bolted to the bumper allowing them to rust. 2c. Previous owner didn't tap the tail light harness or the towing harness. I was able to trace some wires across the spare...
Here is round 1 of deficiencies I'm trying to understand. Sure some of these topics are nit picky but it's my thread sooo... 1- Integrated front bumper LED lights. 1a. For some reason each pair is wired into it's own OEM AUX switch inside. Meaning I have to turn on both of the two left OEM AUX...
On my ‘22 I had the transmission reflashed three times, FoMoCo installed 2/4 tires that couldn’t be balanced, and the drivers side window control failed leaving all cab windows down.
The point of this thread is to share the woes and journey of moving into a 14’ Raptor. Mostly it’s for the ***** and giggles as I investigate the previous owners shenanigans while documenting my ill advised journey. It’s worth mentioning I’m not a “truck guy”, I’m an automotive enthusiast. My...
