anyone know how to disconnect these E-locker wires from the diff?

yeah, well, it was better to deal with the cold, as it kept me dry while I was sitting and lying on my back under my truck... if it was warmer it would've been wet and slushy and that would've been a lot worse, so I specifically picked the cold dry days over the warm wet days. The only problem...

anyone know how to disconnect these E-locker wires from the diff?

just an update if anyone's interested... got the pinion bearings replaced... the main rear one was completely destroyed, though the smaller front one was in surprisingly good shape, though I replaced that one as well. The below zero temps at night and single digit temps in the daytime, though...

Part numbers for pinion bearings, races, crush sleeve, oil seal... or as a kit

ah thanks.... but it took me another hour and then some to finally get at it.... It turned out to be just a typical plastic snap-in connector for both wires, but because the main connector that connects to the outside of the housing, is so deep into a cavity of the housing, you can't see it much...

anyone know how to disconnect these E-locker wires from the diff?

Trying to rebuild my rear diff, mostly to get to my destroyed pinion bearings.... got the bearing caps off and about to pull the diff, can't figure out how to disconnect the wires from the external connector so I can pull the diff. Any ideas? Yeah, I don't have a manual, and I've never worked on...

Part numbers for pinion bearings, races, crush sleeve, oil seal... or as a kit

Ok guys, what's the deal with this E-Locker... trying to pull my diff, and at first I was like, what locker, I don't see a damn thing, this just looks like an open diff. But alas, ah, the mystery wires.... I guess this tiny locker must be hidden in it on the left side. So I'm trying to figure...

Part numbers for pinion bearings, races, crush sleeve, oil seal... or as a kit

Thanks guys, I'll keep them in mind but I'm more interested in just part no.'s atm, so that I can verify whatever I find online is the correct ones so I can compare prices and make a decision that way... I don't want to waste their time if I end up not buying from them. More interested if any...

Part numbers for pinion bearings, races, crush sleeve, oil seal... or as a kit

Well, my 2010 Raptor's pinion bearings are nothing more than a memory after putting my 70,000 miles on it (now on 230,000 miles)... the whine that I tHEorIZeD was possibly that a year ago, may have finally presented itself as such. My pinion has so much play in it it's jumping up and down...

how are your 9.75 rears doing?

Well, that loud whine lasted over a year and a half... had no issues putting on another 30,000 miles almost (have been out of work all year otherwise it would've been twice that mileage), though I still couldn't be certain where the sound was coming from until now... was worried it was the...

replacing my left front CV axle assembly, but wondering about correct part number

ah, thanks... I actually have the correct one then (TX779 for the driver's side)... Time to swap it before my old one fails (and you know when they do, they take out everything in the neighborhood as well...). Curious to see if it gets rid of a whining noise for the past year and a half, that I...

    Rusting Raptor Rocker panels

Sure, the rust belt will, well, rust one's vehicle... but I've never had a vehicle rust this fast. If you read my comment just above, my 40 year old truck is not nearly as rusted as my 14 year old Raptor, and the rust on it is repairable... and it's been sitting in the rains and snows in a lot...

    Rusting Raptor Rocker panels

my rocker panels are completely gone... dissolved... nothing but air under there now. The rust has spread up towards the front and rear of the cab as well at the lower hinges of the doors, and it's eaten away at the lower rear door fixed latches.... it's beyond repair at this point. The door...

replacing my left front CV axle assembly, but wondering about correct part number

of course I haven't been on this forum in a few weeks, and I managed to order what I thought was the correct CV assembly from RockAuto but it looks like I might've ordered the wrong one... maybe, maybe not. I ordered Motorcraft TX779 (alternate # AL3Z3A427C, and interchange numbers AL3Z3A427B...

replacing my left front CV axle assembly, but wondering about correct part number

I've had a torn boot in my left front axle, went thru an entire winter with it and would like to swap in a new assembly before the bearings eat themselves and have a bigger problem when it fails. My question is, does the 2010 Raptor use a different CV-assembly than an F-150? I've found...

    SCARY "almost" no start...

Next time it won't start, pop the hood and just disconnect the MAF sensor and see if it'll start. A dirty or damaged MAF sensor will give an incorrect signal to your computer, telling it to lean out the fuel charge to the point that it just won't run (or, make it go too rich, but I think the...

    Fuel gauge inaccurate

If there's any damage or corrosion to the wire from the sender to the gauge, or to a ground wire, the resistance in the wire will increase, telling your gauge there's less fuel in the tank than there really is (less resistance = more fuel, more resistance = less fuel). Before replacing anything...

how are your 9.75 rears doing?

Follow-up on this issue... u-joints are fine, outer axle bearings are fine, ring and pinion and spider gears look perfect... Still can't figure out where the whine comes from. The whine was pretty loud for awhile, but lately it changes in volume, sometimes it's loud, most of the time is just...

and it just died on the highway... thinking fuel pump, or that notorious fuel pump driver module

Just found this old thread of mine from over a year ago and realized i never updated what it turned out to be, which wasn't a fuse 27 issue... it was a faulty MAF sensor (%#^@%# sensors) Could've just unplugged it and drove it home instead of getting towed. I still haven't done the fuse...

Replaced the battery in my keyfob, still dead... Waiting to pick up the wife later and check her duplicate keyfob. Ran my scanner on the truck, don't have any (new) codes... Always somethin'...

    Rocker Rust 2023

yeah I was quoted 6k to fix jUSt my dissolved rusted rocker panels.... and that's from the smaller budget body shop. Yeah, that ain't happenin', I'll buy a different truck before I waste that kind of money to fix a modern vehicle.

To those considering a first generation raptor

My 2010 gets 9.7mpg in the city (I do drive it hard), and it did get 14mpg on long trips on the highway when I first got it 2 years ago, but lately it only eeks out 13.2mpg on the highway... I've never done a single thing to it since I got the truck (well, other than some basic maintenance...

wth.... is my computer taking a dump?

idk, the GPS on my Raptor is as good as any GPS I've ever used... including the top GPS unit I used when I drove a cab for a short time, there's nothing about this Raptor's GPS that is inferior to anything else I've ever used. It may be that the GPS in my Nav is a higher/better option that what...

wth.... is my computer taking a dump?

yeah, don't all Raptors have it? Yeah, it's always worked great, have had no issues with it at all... until this morning. It still works, well, other than the voice lying to me lol.
