Maybe 511 HP? Does that change your feeling.

My point about the 900K F-150's is, when they started on the 511 hp kick ass engine in the new Gen II, they had a headwind. It was not a clean sheet of paper. Most of those who have a modicum of intelligence can understand that.

i'll ignore the fact you even threw 511hp out there...you're not proving anything by referencing an old engine in order to back the new one...they're completely different, just like ford and most everyone here has said, how is the old 3.5L relevant to arguments pertaining to the new one?

We have established the engine is all new, but the design is not, there are a ton of V1 EB engines out there. It is essentially V2 of a previous design, Ford went back to the drawing board on a lot of details and appears to be correcting issues that many V1 EB guys found when pushing the engines hard.

So, you both are correct. It is an all new engine AND there are a lot of EB engines out there for data that Ford is using to build this new one. Lets be happy they are evolving and not just throwing the old version in:happy107:

haha, I think I said V2 in a previous post and got shit on also...I'm going back to using quotes **** it.

Did anyone see the HPkings article talking about a possible 5.0 EB? My buddy didnt say the 511 goal was a 3.5, maybe there will be two engines? 430 for the 3.5 like some have said and 511 for the 5.0?
