With a Supercab there's no way I'd be in Alaska with any less than 3-5 gallon jugs, maybe 2 with a CC truck.

quit being part of the problem and be part of the solution. find the trails that we can take a raptor down. jeez.......... im working on stuff to put together for this alaska run. i would like to enlist the help of locals for some insider info.
I was being helpful when I told you you need a tracked rig or a helicopter for the "trails" here. What you choose to do with that info is up to you now.

I'm in for Alaska! Just the trip up there and back would be epic. And as far as getting off the road, some of the most beautiful parts of that state can be scene from dirt roads that are easily accessible. Just getting a group of Raptors together to do that would be one very cool trip. Plus, I'm not all about taking my Raptor up to the middle of nowhere Alaska and tearing it up that far from someone who is capable of fixing it!!!

there has to be trails where we dont need a huey right?

Yes, but they are few and far between. They are typically short and must be run in both directions because they just peter out and don't go anywhere. Most of them become very overgrown if they are not used and brushed out regularly...and they aren't. They are wet, like bottomless bog kind of wet, and very tight. Like full-size trucks WILL receive body damage kind of tight. To run "trails" up here you need a couple of small rigs with big power and big tires and you have to have the desire to spend most of your day running winch cable in chest waders. I'm over that part of my life and would prefer to run some 50+ mile stretches of dirt and gravel single track at speed with a cool group of Raptors and then spend the night at an out of the way hunting or fishing lodge that most people will never see. To each their own. If you come up and want to run the technical stuff I'll put you in touch with my old wheeling club. They'll be happy to watch a 50k truck throttle it's way to stucksville!:ROFLJest:
