I love my land cruisers because of the community. I told myself I'd never buy another car that didn't have a community.

I've grown up around cars my whole life (father owned a dealership) and the previous poster who gave some points said everything I've been thinking of since quietly reviewing.

Gen 1's will go down in price when Gen 2 comes out. That's just basic economics. And Gen 2 deserves attention to see if it's worth anything. But at current Gen 1 prices it's a smart decision to wait. If I could find a Gen 1 under 20k for $10k less than that I've seen, I'd probably jump on one.

But it's really the hunt that's the fun part right? ; )

I think the Gen 1 vs Gen 2 is a toss up! Lots of speculation since no-one really knows! If the Gen 2 rocks, then the 1 will drop a bit in price and the 2 guys will be happy with their choice! If the V6 motor is a flunk the the Gen 1 guys will be sitting pretty with a true V8 truck...I'm sticking with my Gen 1 truck and counting on American displacement winning in the end!
