3.0 internal bypass doesn't have a 3.0 piston. Has to be smaller so there is room for the oil to bypass internally. Regular 3.0 bypass has a bigger piston. More surface area. More dampening. More cooling. Tunable.

hey all of us are here because we like the truck; lets be nice at least they are out there testing!! I agree with that previous post of going out there and racing beating up the parts and fix what breaks before it gets to us. Ford has deeper pockets then we do and they could afford the tow from the middle of nowhere

forgot to add this that the Raptor HAS NO COMPETITION! period. Yes you can go get a chevy, dodge, even that titan thing but have to dump a lot of money in there to be anywhere close to what a stock raptor can do. So Ford should be proud

Gone all day and come home to this news? 50 miles and that's it? Something they couldn't repair on the trail? There was a pit at MM54 but I guess they opted not to walk and get parts based on the rules.

Edit: Their Facebook page says they completed the first lap with no issues (140 miles I believe).

The pure haters just like to post minimal info to make it look as bleak and bad as possible, so they'll only post MM 50 and neglect to post it already completed a full lap beforehand, to make it look as bad as possible lol.

Sucks something broke, but it's still unknown what. It could be as bad as holes in the block (doubtful) to a sensor that's acting up, or anything in between. Anyone who's got experience in racing knows that small stupid crap can really get you just as bad as catastrophic failures. Until more info is revealed, no point in jumping to the gun.

Don't know if this is old news but I messaged with one of the race photographers I follow on instagram. Here is the info he shared "I seen it coming through main pitting starting or ending their 2nd lap, I rode in the next race so I wasn't around to see them"

Not sure if this is helpful but thought I'd share.
