I seen that but the v6 still lost in that perticular video. It would be assenine to add more power you would be breaking stuff like the 6.2 that run sc have proven already.
So how much can we push the new raptors this will be the next thing to figure out. How ever I don't think anyone other than a few bought this truck for the drag strip.

Even in a V6TT form, a tune will yield a pretty substantial increase in HP/TQ.

This will be a new game. Just have to see how the ECU's are locked and how much boost is currently being used. All fun and games till someone blows a turbo :)

So a stock V8 agenst a supped up v6 and it still lost. I like the numbers you can push it to but it's still just a v6. You can't tell me there's nothing you could do to the V8 to add hp

Oh, you could build a monster out of a V8, but you wont see as much with a simple tune. Nor a cold air dust intake. Instead you might need,

1. Dust Intake
2. Headers
3. Exhaust
4. Top End Changes
5. Complete block rebuild with high performance parts.

With direct injection and turbos adding more is cheaper and easier. Making sure the engine will handle it........that could be pricey. At some point you also need stronger internals as well though.

Seriously my 2005 Nissan Titan has 325Hp and goes like a bat out of hell. If 450HP is not enough for you, maybe you need a race car.

true that the more resurch I've been doing on the New EB it will have plenty of all around power. but damit I'm an American lol just love the V8 saddens me but not that I'm agint's the new technology, hell it's better for me more ethanol use :e30:

How much hp can be squeezed out of the current 3.5 Eco Boost before hitting the proverbial wall? What's limiting them at that point? Fueling? Component strength? Turbo options? Anyone know?

I'm by no means a turbo dude, but I watched one of those Saturday morning shows and they happened to be working on a V6TT. Pulled the turbos off and sent them somewhere to get bigger 'fans' installed. Maybe had more of them closer together as well. Did some injector updates and a tune and that damn motor turned out like 120+ hp. Now, I'm not too sure what kind of havoc that will raise with powertrain components down the road, but at the end of the show they took it outside and laid some impressive rubber down with that particular truck. There is power to be made with these motors, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be expensive on the head end to get and also keeping the rest of the truck in one piece later.

They are impressive with basic mods. 120 is a significant jump. I wonder where it gets tough/expensive. 600hp, 700hp, 800hp?
