Tvs

Let me here from you guys with these mods and let me know why you chose it and how does it benefit your truck in anyway. From hp to gas mpg to off-road capabilities. List why you think your blower benefited you the best. Try and sell me on your set up.

You missed Roush! (Yeah, I know it is a Eaton TVS) :)

I love my Roush with JDM tune. Not quite Whipple RWHP, but with the Roush exhaust and the tune, this truck hustles and sounds great. I have had mine for 14 months and I still smile when I hit the gas. Night and day difference from my 2012 that was NA.

Whipple - The best bang for the buck. More power. You have to do full exhaust and rear deavers, intercooler, pulley, and other mods to make it perfect. Expensive endeavor to truly do it the right way. See signature line. Probably 20k total, if not a little more. Worth every penny to me. When you can take a 7000 pound vehicle and make go 0-60 in 5 seconds on the road, and then out perform just about any other production vehicle off road, you have it all!! Pretty cool to drive around every day in the baddest truck on the road. Go for it!!!

Basic Roush, plan to do some awesome stuff around 100 or 150 k miles once it needs freshened up. "Somehow" with my buddy driving we got around 16mpg from Vegas to Phoenix. Got the Roush because it was an awesome deal at the time and like Ricky Bobby "I wanna go fast".

Whipple and Roush have been the best options we've used to date. The Whipple obviously larger and more efficient but the Roush TVS packs a big punch too. With our custom tuning we have had customers see between 12-14mpg around town and 16-17 on the highway. Throttle response and pick up gives the truck the sensation of a super car-like sports truck, even though it feels powerful now it really makes it an animal with the blower. We do about 1 install per week with these and either kit is a home run. We've done prochargers but they just don't pack the low end punch a 6,000+ lb beast requires to get moving. They are also a little less of a "clean" install with some modification and fitment required.

What is the difference between the Roush tuning file and your custom file?

Gesendet von meinem Nexus 5 mit Tapatalk

I just installed the JDM Roush tune two weeks ago and here are my thoughts:

1) Throttle response is much better
2) Shift points are much better
3) I seem to generate more boost on hard acceleration

Not life changing, but it really makes my truck more drivable and makes it feel even more sports car like.

Just as Torrin stated above we improve the driveability, throttle response, shifting, and power with our tune over the Roush factory tune file. Their tune is also limited to 100mph where as we raise it to 130mph. Also you should notice better fuel economy as well from our tune! All around it's a much better tune than Roush's and optimizes the power you already have.
