First off, I'd like to stay that I am a big fan of it from the moment I installed it about 27k miles ago but for the last few months...my radio reception has really decreased even around or when driving through the city. I constantly find myself adjusting the antenna screw which improves the quality of the reception.

My suggestion would be to provide a long screw as a replacement as I feel it may fix the reception issue somewhat...anyone else notice this?

I haven't noticed any change in mine yet but I'm not much help with it's limited use.

My 50 cal. bullet antenna has been in my glove box ever since I installed my HID lights. I don't know if I messed up the wiring or something, but whenever the lights are on I have a ton of electrical interference. I've tried installing ferret magnets on all the wires near the lights and added additional grounds, to the frame. I plan to 're do all the ground wires directly to the battery. I'm running out of ideas.

I only use Sirius in my truck, and I've never had any issues at all... even in overhead tree coverage or areas of cliff faces.

While I can attest to reduced reception with any of the shortened antennas, it is odd that you have noticed a decrease in reception over time. Did you purchase this through us or direct from Craven?

Directly through craven and I really believe it has to do with the length of the mounting screw. If i set it just right I get decent reception but not as good as when I bought it.

Interesting. I'm not sure how often they visit here but I will shoot Kellen an email with a link to this thread.

Nvm. He has posted recently in the charity thread for their dipstick giveaway.
