I want this but the cheapest I can find it is like 349.95 now. Hopefully it will go back down to the 265.00 and I will be all over it/

Anyone have the Ford Part Number by chance?

Kicker soundgate

I installed kicker sound gate and it hits bass hard! I love it, I run it at -3 and it hits hard, eBay from ford in Texas, cheap like 375, well worth it. And goes in factory location of stock sub, looks factory

I am very interested in this but all the ads I see say NOT for the sony premium system. Also, what is the story with the available door speakers available with the system?

Looks like people are having great results with the Kicker. Can any one of you whom have already pulled the trigger on it write up a review or step by step instructions on how to go about the upgrade for those of us on the fence and not as knowledgeable. Surely it be much appreciated if not just by me. More pics would be great....wondering why it said it wasn't compatible. Thanks in advance

Would this fit a scab?

So here is a quick write up on this sub stage. I bought it from here. The ad stated they have 1 remaining.

Install is relatively simple. I had my mechanic handle it due to time constraints, according to him on a scale of 1-10, it's about a 2. The most challenging, per him and an earlier post, is connecting the source wires to existing speakers.
Below are pics. Basically you run a power wire (all parts needed are supplied with the kit) to the battery, pictures attached to show. The instructions are excellent, it's available online (I'm on Tapatalk and having issues posting a direct link), do a google search for '9l3z-18808-n install instructions'.

I now run the Bass level at -3, -4 and it hits just perfectly!

This kit is specific for the SCREW, the SCAB/extended cab is different. I 'believe' it's this one, but please do your due diligence to verify.

The ford part number is 9l3z-18808

To address the question about literature stating NOT for Sony, I'm not sure, but mine is the Sony system and it works. The other kit that comes with door speakers is for a system WITHOUT Sony and replaces the existing crappy door speakers with new (Kicker?) door speakers from my research.

Hope this helps!

Does the seat not fully come down anymore due to the size of the woofer? Thank you for the write up and valuable info.

Seat fully comes down and rests on the seat rests pictured, as before. I left the old sub at my mechanic's, I'll grab it next week for a height comparison shot, the new one doesn't seem higher.

Now, on mine, the runner mat has been 'pinched' down by the sub corner, but if I need to take out the mat, (my rear seats never get used), all I need to do is loosen that securing bolt of the sub and remove the rubber mat. One could trim that rubber mat a bit if needed as well. 00275dc03cb1086724d6c5ee79d4c56c.jpg

My only complaint with this system is that I'd preferred to have been able to tap the source wires going to the factory sub instead of the right front door speaker.

Anyone with the Sony system install on a SCAB yet? Wonder how it compares to the 2010s that also have a sub amp.

Maybe I just found my answer with an online search:

Fitment: this kit will only fit in Super Cab Models and is not compatible with the Sony HD Audio System Package on 2009 to 2010 F150s. If you're installing this system on a 2011 to 2014 F150, the Sony 8" subwoofer will need to be removed. A version for Super Crews is also available.

2009-2010 F150 with Sony HD Audio: the Kicker Substage System is not compatible with 2009 or 2010 F150s with the Sony HD Audio System. Please call Stage 3 directly at 1-877-578-2433 for more information.

Anyone know why/how the Sony system in 09-10 is different?
