I think you gotta wait for the 18 or 19 Raptor. Your going to have a bunch of guys torturing the 17 Raptor and the truth will come out on how it holds up. Whether car wrecks, animal collisions, or off road mistakes. The reality of the durability and cost of repairs will be know. I don't have that big of a deal with the aluminum, mines more mechanical. One issue that could happen is your insurance coverage might go up if repairs on the 15 and 16 are expensive. It will be more of a reason to upgrade the bumpers to enhance protection :)

For me besides the ringy dingy motor the aluminum body plus it is now just a production vehicle kind of puts it in plain street queen class. The old body style will be the desirable ones in 25 years--just have to be careful to find a undamaged one..

Okay, I'm going to try to be calm. Do you guys mean to say that the bumpers on the new Raptors are going to be made of aluminum alloy? Be patient and don't upset an old man. Just give it to me calm and straight...

No, the bumpers are not going to be aluminum and still made of steel. On the 2017 the front fenders and hood will be composite as well.
