I've got a 14 SCAB Raptor with 30K miles on it and what I believe to be the original tires - BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO Baja Champions 315/70/17 with an average of 8/32nds tread remaining. I just picked up a full set of SE wheels that I'd like to install new tires on before putting them on the truck. Based on everything I've read, I'd rather not deal with the hassle and expenses of running 37's, so would prefer to stay with something close to stock tire size. I am on mid perch up front, for what it's worth. My Raptor is my DD, so I use it to travel for work, lots of highway, around town, up to the mountains, camping, trails, dirt, mud, rain, snow, everything. Can't wait to get it out to some desert trails too!

Having said all that what tires would you recommend that would be a good fit all around? The stock BFGs haven't failed me yet, but I'm wondering if there are better alternatives out there.

Thanks!

I believe @Jimbo still has a set for cheap that is for sale, Duratracs that is. Snag them if they are still available.

Duratracs are good tires. You could also put a set of the new BFG AT KO2 as they seem to perform very well, but maybe you can a good deal with jimbo ; as you can see with his avatar, a case of banana will do the job... :party36:

Duratracs are good all around tires... Currently I am trying out Cooper Discoverer A/T3

Since the Raptor is currently my wife's grocery getter and is actually spending more time on the road than off road.

I can attest to the fact that the KO2's are BADASS!!! Have put a few thousand miles on mine and they are doing great and wearing good so far. My $.02.....

I took off some toyo R/T's in favor of the KO2's. Mainly a weight/snow thing but they're both very nice tires. The Toyo AT2 and it's brother the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 are warrantied for 50k. If I had to choose another AT it would be the Nitto or Toyo.

If it's more road than off road, and it usually is, think about road noise. I hate howling tires myself.

Duratrac's...replaced the stock BFG's with Duratrac's at 50k miles; put on my 2nd set of Durtrac's at 100k miles and am already planning for my 3rd set at 150k miles.
