Of course they're not going to drive a Raptor prototype around with neon signs saying "LOOK AT ME!" Look at the stance, / ride height, Raptor wheels, and most telling (as Kingranch pointed out), the dual exhausts. The FX4 EcoBoost doesn't have those, and they've got to get to 450 HP somehow.

All the best,

Tell that to the guy who was driving it on the Southfield freeway in Dearborn.

Re-reading this, I realized that I should be clear that this was two different trucks on consecutive days. The first day (pics), the truck had Raptor front fenders as seen in the photos. The second day (video) was just more evidence that Ford is testing Raptor mules "in the wild" without drawing attention to themselves. That's how it works for any major car program. Many times, you can only tell by the different brakes, exhaust, or camouflage that it's a current production vehicle that's been selectively upgraded for whatever is on test. So there may be hundreds of prototypes, all testing different systems, and not a single one of them (at least as seen by the public) has all of the new hardware. That's why the first spy shots of a complete, working vehicle on public roads are so valuable.

It's like spotting a Jennifer Anniston naked on some remote beach, taking pictures, then contacting the executive editor at every tabloid, trash tv show, etc. to see who will pay the most. That is assuming that you've got a digital camera where you couldn't "ruin the negatives" while you enjoyed them privately. ;-P

All the best,
Dave

Wonder if the Raptor is going to look pretty similar to the Halo 5 truck Ford is taking to E3

Bumper don't look right....

It doesnt. It also doesnt have marker lights on the flares. It does have the hood and fender vents of the Gen 2. The current 2017 Raptor being shown is a pre-production model so things could have changed.

It also says ecoboost on the door. Definitely something wrong.
