Drivers side rear turn signal doesn't work, front does, Arrow in the dash is blinking fast. The light itself is ok, so it must be something in the wiring.
Assume problem is where the dealer connected the trailer plug
Can someone advise me on wiring colours and what Voltage i should measure. When I measure at the three wires from the tail light connector I measure a continuous 12 VDC between the two outer wires and the middle one. Nothing further happens when i switch the bloinking signal on

They should tap into the front indicators and running lights. You cannot tap from the tail lights because european trailers have separate light bulbs for lights, turn indicators and braking lights. Us trucks use 1 bulb for all.

Has been working fine for two years, changed the bulb
Or does someone have a wiring diagram? I assume the turn signal functions through the can bus, no separate wire? The connectors have three wires, light, brake light, mass?

I just had the same thing happen. Rapid flash on right side, turned out it was the front turn signal. The bulbs are on when the lights are on but get brighter when the turn signal or four ways are activated. When the bulb was replaced the flash was normal. Chances of it being a wiring issue are slim.

Do you have LED bulbs? If the LED"s don't draw enough current then it will flash rapidly.

Rear light doesn't blink at all, front light does, so it must be something else

Also checked the trailer connector. It has less voltage on the left side than it has on the right side

If all of the actual turn signal bulbs checked out OK, I would try replacing the turn signal/flasher relay unit (assuming these newer vehicles still use 'em?).

Had a similar problem/symptom many years ago on another vehicle and replacing it solved the issue.

G'luck...
