Ported throttle body

Just bought a new throttle body on ebay and have it sent to a friend I know from 355nation.net (colorado forum) for a porting job. I had him done my 5.3 throttle body on my colorado and what a difference on throttle response. Will send some pics and review when I have it installed on the raptor.

Just picked up the PTB At the post office. Can't wait TO get home to install it with the 5star tunes.

What a différence. It is like day and night as I was expecting: faster response and No more lag. Lové the new PTB.

how is the drivability? with the bbk tb my truck idled like shit...

It idles like stock after resetting the ECM and I just installed the perf 91 5star tune, it launches like a rocket. Got It for $100 shipped

Back up a minute, please. Did you buy an aftermarket throttle body or a second factory throttle body? If there is a difference between the two in that photo, I guess the pic doesn't do it justice. Could you describe what modifications were done to it, please?

Bought a new throttle body and got It shipped to the Guy for portîng job. But I think he also does a trick on the resistance. Had all my other trucks throttle bodies ported and always feel a Nice improvement over stock.

When I removed the stock throttle body I found out the inlet of the intake manifold has some ribs at the entrance. What is the purpose? Vortex effect?

The ribs reduce the whoosh noise when you crack the throttle open.

Do you think if I delete those ribs, there would be a problem with CEL?
