The 14s at the dealership today were still 10k over MSRP. I BSd with the custom shop guy for a couple hrs today and he too is unhappy about the raptor/EB combo. He said something along the lines of "call me old school but I want a v8 in a truck like that" but on fords side my EB 150 does move pretty damn good, I'd assume the one in the raptor will be pretty badass.

Heading down to the Auto Show tomorrow to take a first peak, knowing that the underneath will be different once it comes out. But I have invested a ton of money in my 12, and pretty happy with it. So this truck is going to really need to wow me.

I was tossing around the idea of dropping my raptor and picking up the new focus RS if it is AWD and then potentially the new Ford GT if it isn't priced way out of the market.

I'm not a brand loyal guy so I'll buy whatever I like best when I'm ready to move on from my 12. I'll wait and drive one when they come out to decide if it's for me or not. I normally keep my vehicles only three maybe four years so I'll have to hold out longer if I want to even consider g2. If prices jump like Jeep SRT 8 gen 2 ($10k+) then I'll most likely go elsewhere.

Plan to keep my 2014, and convince the wife to sell her Camry so "she can have" her own new 2017 Raptor.

Two Raptors wouldn't fit in our garage. Even if they could, my wife would either widen the garage opening or compress my Raptor if she tried to pull in. Some things in life just can't work, depending on circumstances.

Where is the option that says see "I what happens when first wave of buyers purchase the raptor and find all the issues Ford did not think of?"

Don't get me wrong the looks have grown on me and I am sure it will be fast and crazy, but the gripe I still have is there is a lot more tech that can break and keeping it going I am sure is going to sticker shock a LOT of you. 2-cents
