it shouldnt. it means there is still current going through. any wiring you have done?
that usually means there is still power going to the light but almost no ground. do you ever get door open notifications?
I had this same issue in my old truck. I had replaced the map lights with LEDs and there would be a very, very faint glow inside the lens.

That's the LED. It doesn't have the resistance of the OEM bulb. Sometimes they do that. That's the reason I haven't replaced my OEM bulbs.

Its called ghosting. All cheap LED's do it.
