Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radial for winter driving?

Inthink i will be getting the baja claws non radial in 40s for my next tires. My mud grapplers are 35,000 km and they are done

Alex just likes to be the guy with the biggest damn tires around. lol.

Ive been contemplating these, baja mtz, or the toyos. My worry is icey roads on a mud tire. Ive read some reviews of the claws hydroplaning really badly and not being good in icey conditions.

i dont know man.... i run my grapps on ice roads up here in the winter.......

maybe its just the lack of your drivers skill? LOL
kidding....
but yeah sometimes its sketchy bare ice on a MT

@whtrapta, are you still happy with these? I'm concerned about wear, road noise, and wet traction. Interested to know your thoughts on them since you're only guy I know running these on a Raptor.

I would never ever ever recommend these tires. When I first got them they were the best ever. At 25k miles I ripped them off my truck before I lost my mind.
They dont stay balanced ever.
They wear bad even if you have perfect alignment and rotate.
And at random speeds they would start to hop like the tire was egg shaped.
My stock BFGs got me over 50k miles before I destroyed them at TRR1, these were way down on tread at 25k miles.
And they became very slick on wet roads, very easy to spin the tires or slide.

I now have the ATZ p3 tires. Much better improvement. I have probably around 20K on them now and they are excellent. Tread wear is much better, no cupping or balance issues. VERY grippy on wet roads, actually very difficult to spin the tires on a wet road now. And they look great. Next will either be the even newer Mickey thompson Deegan 38 or the new BFG all terrain KO2.

I ran ARDD with these tires and there was almost 0 wear or chunking from the whole weekend. Very impressed with these tires.

Thanks for the update, Cody. It was thinking of either these or the KM2s since I wanted a mud terrain that wasn't ridiculously heavy. But after hearing your review on the Claws and reading about the KM2s separating and blowing out at highway speeds, I think I'll stick with my original plan of the Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx (VERY similar to the ATZ P3s). The Deegan 38s interest me as well, but they're still too new for me to get reports back on long-term testing from others.
