Well with the cat back, they are designed to be "bolt on". This takes time and money. Also a lot of research goes into getting the tone right, back pressure and flow right as well as sound level and drone elimination. This takes several designs and dyno runs as well as flow research. This is just purely thought from my head but it makes sense to me

I think that's why the cost is so pricey. You can spend $300 on a mbrp dump or the full $2k+ on a full stainless works exhaust.

My 12 scab was very sluggish the past year, tried everything intake tune exhaust etc. finally I swapped out the plugs and it came back to life.

The raptor will be slower than you HD, it weighs several hundred pounds more

Not to mention that any time you go from 31" street tires to 35" off-road tires your gonna take a hit in (street) performance. Most P rated tires only weigh about 40lbs, while our LT BFG's weigh 62lbs. Plus there's a huge difference in rolling resistance between the two types of tires.

That's why I opted not to put BFG TA's on my Xterra, there would have been too big of an impact in performance and fuel mileage.

Well - all is fixed now that I have the SVC tune and my custom Magnaflow Magnapack exhaust. The tune corrected all drivability issues I experienced and now the truck feels much lighter and nimble. acceleration is easy now and I also gained in both city and highway mpg. The exhaust came out perfect - removed stock muffler, resonator and tips... Then, added the magnapack, and dual Magnaflow tips in stock location. Sounds and looks great!
