Well with the cat back, they are designed to be "bolt on". This takes time and money. Also a lot of research goes into getting the tone right, back pressure and flow right as well as sound level and drone elimination. This takes several designs and dyno runs as well as flow research. This is just purely thought from my head but it makes sense to me
I think that's why the cost is so pricey. You can spend $300 on a mbrp dump or the full $2k+ on a full stainless works exhaust.
