Its sad but treypal is probably right, v6 raptor...really, whats the point. This forum is going to turn into a WRX forum with everyone talking about intercoolers, turbos. Not to mention the street queens with oversized wastegates to make that stupid sound. Raptor is that...a big, heavy, gas wasting, off roading, testosterone machine!
Here are some future posts in the mod forum:

"Does a wastegate improve performance?"
"I got dirt in my turbos...HELP!!!"
"RPG intercooler sprayer kit install question"
"Can I do a quad turbo"

I can just see some of the window stickers "Got Turbos"

Its sad. I would be very interested in a 2016/2017 Raptor, my first mod would be ripping out the v6 and replacing it with a v8 Ford crate motor.

I honestly don't know if it's going to be a 6 or 8. I know a 5.0 EB is in development but I hear it's to replace the diesel.

Solid guess is a tuned 3.5L. I'm pretty impressed with that engine, I'd guess it will be similar HP/TQ to the 6.2, with less weight.

Your info is a high probability considering cafe standards, fords investment into ecoboost, and the way cars are headed in general. Make it fair and bet on the displacement.

But you didn't state the type
Displacement and cilinder count

Or if its an option or only choice you have

OK, I'll bet a 3.5 V6.

My bet is on a 5.0 EB V8
As the 6.2 was from the F250
And the 5.0EB will be for it again

I think they will do that again

I just have nothing to bet with...

I have it on high authority that a 5.8L V8 twincharged (turbocharger feeding a supercharger) is in the works. They apparently initially got dyno results between 950 and 1000 HP. Needles to say, they are detuning and testing for longevity.

Like I say, I heard this from a source with high authority. Real high.

THIS would be worthy of the Raptor name.
