t_j & rsike - Thanks for the replies, I really appreciate it. :)

Did either of you guys need to run an "extreme" drop hitch to keep the trailer level or would my existing 2" drop hitch work OK (running the factory suspension here) ? Thx again!

The standard 2" drop on my wd hitch was not enough to level the trailer ended up getting 4-10" drop bar and trimming off the bottom after getting the right height set.

Rptr, did I read you right? You said you have 40" tires on your raptor with a 6" drop hitch? I guess I'm confused as to how this is possible on a raptor. A f250 this is the norm.

I don't remember what the drop of the hitch is but it was not extreme I think 3" (I'm out of the country so I can't check). All I did was measure the height of the receiver and of the trailer when level and used the difference for the drop. Don't know if that was the right way to do it but it seems to work fine. My lights are setting a tad bit high with the trailer so I might need to make an adjustment. I'm on mid perch so that probably does not help the lights.

Towed a 34 footer for a friend a couple hundred miles. I have Deaver +3 and the SVC adjustable bumps. With the +3 Deavers the bumps sit pretty high above the strike plate at rest. No clue how close they came while driving but hauling was a breeze. 70+ mph the while way.
