Raptors have a rebate? Huh?
Or is it just another way for a dealer to discount it from MSRP and make it sound like you need to hurry on a decision?
Hands down, if worried about depreciation, get the raptor.

There is currently a $1k rebate for Raptor's, and a $500 Rebate for military on any Ford. Ford also has a $6250 rebate on all 2014 Crew Cabs for the military. This is taken after the discount we get off of MSRP, which by my calculations is about 5% over invoice.

You probably won't get the $6250 crewcab discount. That was offered at the time of my purchase and I couldn't get it. Overall I got a great deal and there were some dumb things they did but nothing major. Yes I would buy from them again.

I need to install those headers still...

OK, I figured he mis-spoke when he told me about the $6250 rebate. He definitely said I could get the $1500 rebate though, and it's on the price quote he sent. Depending on what he can get me on a Platinum with the $6250 may be the deciding factor. I'm going to have my wife measure the garage door as I'm afraid the Raptor won't fit, if that's the case there is only one option as I'm not about to park a $50k truck outside, especially in Colorado.

So in addition to a Raptor you are buying a new house with a bigger garage? Sweet!!

I just ordered a Raptor through this program a few weeks ago...for the last few months that I have been checking the website, raptor rebates have only been $500. The $1000 rebate is a bonus and I think it goes away on the third. $1k isn't much on a $50k truck, but if you're going to order it afterwards might as well do it now.

Also, every sales rep has weekends periodically where they offer $300 off on orders placed that weekend. I ordered mine a few days after the weekend special ended and still got the $300 off, so there is a little bit of leeway for discounts. FWIW.

PM me if you have any questions, I just went through the whole process and have scoured every page on the website out of boredom as I wait for my VIN...

The $500 rebate is standard for all military vehicles through ENCS.

The $1000 rebate shows up as a rebate on the quote but it isn't from Ford - it is a discount from ENCS to get folks to order. It is simply a reduction in their profit.

Folks can find better deals than ENCS if you REALLY REALLY work at it. However, you will be guaranteed a truck and an allocation. ENCS puts orders in directly through to ford - no middle man - and their orders ALWAYS get pulled. I got one of the last 2012s built and I ordered almost on the last day orders were taken.

If I were you, I wouldn't wait until 2016. No telling what engine will be in that truck but it won't be the 6.2. In time (my opinion) the GEN1 raptors will be much more desirable in the way similar to the hard core offroad guys want the 2010 and 2011s.

Bottomline - that is a great price, the Raptor won't depreciate like the Platinum and you will be kicking yourself for ever for not getting the Raptor. When I went to look at a Raptor at local dealer they didn't have one. The salesmen was throwing an FX4 at me telling me there was no way I would get a raptor and gave me an offer of over $12K off MSRP. Momma was pissed but I just said I couldn't do it. I would like the FX4 for about 2 months and then hate myself. That said, there isn't a day that goes by 18 months later that I don't grin ear to ear when I see my truck. I will have that thing forever.

Buy through ENCS now.

Awesome advice man, I appreciate it. My wife measured the garage and the Raptor fits. She also said if I buy it I cant make any mods to it until I pay it off. I think I can handle that, just going to have to click all the accessory boxes on the order form, hehe. I agree with you that I will be kicking myself if I buy a platinum instead of a Raptor. Thankfully the poor gas mileage wont be a big change from my current truck (07 Nissan Titan) which averages about 14.
