Im going to build a bigger base for it and be very careful using it. No worries! I thought about getting a jack/skid but I think a hi-lift will be fine for as much as I'll be using it.

It's a tool, and like anything else you just need to use it appropriately. Jack stands can be really dangerous for you to work under, but if you're precautious then it's not a big deal.

I need a plate to mount it. Any ideas where I can get some flat scrap metal, have it cut to size, then powdercoated

Edit: saw a chevy that had the mounts turned sideways instead of straight up and down. Didn't know you could mount them like that. See below for updated post.

Drilled a few more holes. 10 rivets per mount. There is no such thing as overkill on a raptor.
