if you have leds that are not working just pull the affected one and check the wires on the bulb. i had to bend mine so they would make contact in the rubber housing.

they were all working fine but they are the cheapest led's you can get. On the new ones I had to bend the metal out just a bit so it made contact. I bought 10 of these from retrosolutions - 1.5W Pair 194 168 158 2825 T10 LED Wedge Bulbs and the difference is huge. Ordered them saturday morning and they were here Monday at 10am for $7 shipping, thats service. Ill show a comparison of the two when I do a write up on the retro.

Iron, The company Im getting the projectors from is moving locations and will be back in business on the 31st, so if you order between now and then theres a 10% discount, this is the projector I will be using, about $100. - Bi-xenon: Morimoto Mini H1 4.0 - HID Projectors from The Retrofit Source Inc Theres a cut off shield that moves away when you engage high beams. So basically the halogen high bulbs on the inside never come on, the projectors are your lows and highs, which is much better for the xenon bulb life because it is always on. Plus you have HID for low and high. Ill find some pics of the cutoff's.

Again, the interesting part is going to be opening the headlights, Ill be sure to document how it goes.

First pic is lows second highs and these are with 35w bulbs, Ill be using 55w

Some of the other "plain" F-150 forums (here and here) have a group buy from TRS for 25% off until the August 15 if anyone else is looking for retrofit projectors. Discount code is "F15025" (Case sensitive).

Had the same experience, bent the wires and now they are all ok. I agree on the LED's not being bright enough. I asked Recon and they told me that they have brighter LED's.
I mounted the HID's and do have a straight cut off. Drove about 2000 miles in the dark last 2 weeks, no blinking from ongoing traffic and a far better view than with the original lights.
Agree on the comments on the Halo's, they should have done better

hey guys, RECON here. Wanted to let you know that we have new brighter, high powered LEDs that will be installed in all new projectors. If you currently own a RECON projector headlight then message me your address and I will send out a set of the new drl LEDS.

Best,

Ryan
