After reading all the pros and cons of changing-out my new 2013 Raptor's oil, I decided to perform the oil-change myself. . .
. . .just put it this way, it's not fun having to go to Wal-Mart at 12:30 A.M. for an oil-filter wrench - after discovering half-way through the oil-change that you needed one because the factory decided to install the original oil-filter a little more tighter than "hand-tight".
On the up-side, once I got the factory oil-filter off, the rest of the "change" took less than 15 minutes.
LESSON LEARNED - Always have an oil-filter wrench when doing your Raptor's or any vehicles first oil change.
For the curious...I used Royal Purple's 5-30 and a K&N oil-filter. I know the recommened oil weight is 5-20. but here in S. Texas, it get's very not in the Summer time and the extra heat protection that a 5-30 weight oil provides vs. 5-20 is better.
Good luck!
