Despite the reception issue complaints I took a chance on the stubby antenna. I got it in the mail today and according to the box and website I got the right model. The website indicates the part number is CRFF-0035-FO but the box only shows CRFF-0035. I assume that is the same thing. I pulled off the OEM antenna and tried to install the stubby and it makes about one spin before it stops and will not go in any further without significant force which will cross-thread the antenna.

No problem, just put the OEM back on and give CravenSpeed a call. No answer, just a message with their hours which I am definitely within at 3pm eastern time. So back it goes and I will find another product or just cut my OEM antenna down to size. Cannot recommend a product I cannot get installed, especially when it is this simple...

Update 8/6/2013: I finally got a call today after submitting an RMA request. We will see if they can figure out how to get me the right part.

my stubby works great! no loss of reception which is why I was surprised you said that. it was however a touch difficult to screw in the first time, I just lubed it up a little and it slid right in.

I meant to make this post be a little dirty ahah

Is it possible u were trying to thread it in on an angle from which it should sit? Also the threads on the new antenna may have burs from machining...
