So before I got my Raptor I had saved up enough to buy either my current baby my 6.2L or a 2012 California Special mustang. Fortunately I got my Raptor but my plans of owning a 5.0L twin turbo were gone and I was very disappointed when I figured out there is no "affordable" (under 10K) option for turboing my raptor. Now I know some of you have talked about hellion but I decided to contact em for ***** an gigs last night and they sent me an email today. Sorry if this is common knowledge I've just always wanted a big TT V8 gasoline engine and I can't wait for them to perfect their kit and make it available to us! I just hope I don't blow all my money on suspension in the next six months :p Again, sorry if I'm reposting I'm just way too excited to see hellion do this. And I'm sure it'll be incredibly cheaper than henessey

This was attached to the email!!! Clearly it doesn't look like much has been done yet but at least it shows they are serious about doing a twin turbo set up and I can't wait!!!

Wasn't there another company doing single turbo kits? Maybe it was custom, can't remember.

I think Livernois did a twin turbo Raptor for someone.

Yes they do but they cost a small fortune because its custom, I ain't seen a hellion kit go for over 9000 yet (unless you add options) also hellion makes really nice tuned headers whereas most companies use logs not sure about Hennessy or livernois though all I know is that they are way out of my price range whereas these could possibly be only a little more than a whipple, and you could call it an ECOBEAST :p

Anyone know if there's a hellion guy on the forum? Be cool to see a step by step or something

That might be pretty sweet. Definitely won't be California legal though. :(

I thought about having unobtanium welding build me a nice TT kit here in Calgary (for anyone not familiar with him, hes a fabrication/welding guru local to us). Coming from many mustangs including a 3.4 Whippled 04 Cobra and 640rwhp C6 Z06, i miss the acceleration and speed.
But then i realized how difficult it is to put down the factory horsepower from our trucks efficiently, especially off road. Well, i realized it just wouldnt be worth spending all that money. To me anyways.
If i wanted a super fast utility vehicle, i would just buy another Jeep SRT8. But we all know that would be a downgrade..

After talking to a friend with a cammed, whippled Livernois built Raptor. He confirmed to me that spending the money on a nice 3.0 set-up with some leafs makes the Raptor experience that much more awesome.
Dont get me wrong, everyone wants and could need more power. I just think for me your basic performance additions, plus some 4.88 gearing and longtubes should more then suffice.
Maybe my thoughts on this will change later on, and i am definitely interested to see what Hellion does with their kit.
Either way happy modding fellow Albertan!
