Whoa whoa whoa, take it easy with my beautiful 60. Unfortunately I haven't seen one of them in a hot minute, I got the joy of ending up at a 72 unit - worst aircraft ever.

Anyways, I would play it safe and keep it on post, or use it on those excursions where you want to make every German jealous, we all know they drool over our big trucks haha.

I'm sorry you got stuck working with the EuroCopter trash... I don't think I would trade my Boeing. My Grandfather flew a Boeing over Germany 67 years ago and I get to do it now so it's a family tradition. Haha.

Yeah, only benefit is maintenance is contracted out to civilians so us crewchiefs just fly fly fly, really really slow, with really ****** weight & balance and CG requirements…

Ive only had one small scratch from driving through towns and that was my own fault.

Use the hobby shop on base. If all else fails drive to Pulaski and I'll help you. They have a great shop. I've done header and springs on my other cars. The raptor exhaust is one of the easiest I've ever taken off.

Careful what you say, man. I may grab a bunch of beer and load up the headers, exhaust, and the rest and take you up on that offer... Would love a Mid Perch but don't know where to get the alignment.

Thanks for the support fellas! I absolutely cannot wait for this truck to get here. As far as unique I think so because even the Exchange New Car Sales guys said they have never delivered one here. All the ones purchased get a stateside delivery. I know there are Raptors in Germany and I'd love to meet a few and do some international off roading!

As for all the mods in the living room, I need to find somewhere over here to install them. I own no tools over here. I left them at my buddies house when I was moved. Also I am not the most mechanically inclined with vehicles and would hate to screw up the Raptor. I need to find an english speaking modification shop is what I need...

I'm not sure where you are in Germany but I spent some time down in Vilseck right next to Graf. I had a 93 Mustang when I was there and had the Germans offering to buy it off me...should have taken the deals, so be prepared for that. As for the off roading...I remember the Forest Meister shutting down the training are because there were 3 baby bunnies. I think that your best bet for some off roading will be to make friends, aka buy beer and stuff for, the range control folks. I used to be the BDE CSM driver and would tool all over Graf and Hohenfels in the Hummer or the Pejero (European version of the full size Mitsubishi Montero) and have a blast on the tank trails. The big thing that you have to watch out for is the tiny A$$ streets over there. I had a hard enough time trying to park my 93 Mustang over there. I can't imagine trying to park a Raptor in Munich!

I'm in Bad Windsheim which is about 2-2.5 hours drive from Graf. The streets are small but I'm also in a farming part of Bavaria so tank trails and tractor roads are abundant. I have heard these trucks are valuable here and the New Car Sales guy said he thought I could easily make 10-15k if I wanted to and found the right buyer. I'll take pictures when the truck gets here parked all over the place haha.

You are right with the parking here in Germany. It's a challenge always parking the Raptor somewhere downtown in cities or even small towns or shopping centres. As we say, who owns a big 4x4 car in Germany needs to walk a lot ... I clearly recommend to keep small car for daily driving.

Concerning finding help with a mechanics guy for your mods, the are a couple of experienced guys for offroad racing cars, mostly they do Mercedes G class mods or Toyota Landcruiser mods. But they do not have experience with a Raptor. US trucks typically are not used for offroad driving in Germany, just street queens. If you need some advise here, let me know.

There are also some good events to drive / race your Raptor. Just google for "Baja 300 Mitteldeutschland" which is the most famous offroad racing event (was just a few weeks ago), organised by the "4x4 Club Leipzig" where I am a member - you are welcome to join! I was racing there with a Mercedes G class proto, did not take my Raptor.

Hope to meet you soon with your Raptor to have some fun together!
