Rear window slider motor

Rear power slider quit working, took it to dealer. They said motor was defective. Ordered new one, didn't fit. Truck sits.
Next day they got the "right" motor. Tech spent all day installing it. Now I'm told it doesn't fit either. Truck sits.
Today I'm told that ford head office is being consulted as to how to proceed as there are no other options
Can anyone shed some light on this?

yea I hope so too. Generally dont like them messing with my truck since I dont trust dealer mechs but somethings are unavoidable. Didnt bug me in the winter but now that it is getting warmer I am going to want my window back.

I'm surprised I still have a rear window... any day now my magnapack is going to shatter that thing.

Heard back from dealer. The ford engineers don't know why any of their motors don't fit.
They recommend installing a whole new rear power window assembly, complete with frame and glass, a 10 day wait for parts.
They are putting my truck back together for now so I can drive it until then.
Why do things have to get so complicated?

Mine only works sometimes. It's worse after I get out of the dust too.

My rear defroster shit the bed. My dealer got permission to replace the whole thing. Then they asked for pics inside and out, pics of the labels on the glass etc. I sent them about a dozen photos and they have ordered the window and are having it installed by a local glass company.

Rear window seems like a PITA

I havent tried that thing since the first week I got the truck. Guess I should try it out.
