Placing it here it is closer to the line of sight, and you have to sit in the driver seat to see it.

This is where I installed it on the FX4 truck and it does work well, between the two I have used above the mirrior mount works best for me. With the GPS unit I have elite 5m on a Mount in the middle of the dash. My dash cam mounted just under the f150 on the windshield. Rear view mirror and the 9500 CI remote display above that its pretty crowded. I doubt any cop can spot it when running... Im just a safety kind of guy... If you really want stealth install it in the sunglass holder its only visible when its open then...

Figured i already had a good bracket running across upper grill...

Attached it to the bottom of my 30" led light bar... The horns show through the grill opening, and not metal in front.. The reason i choose to mount it on driver side, easier to route wires up the grill support and to the firewall, plus damn front camera and washer blocked the horns.

Yes, I know plastic doesn't effect radar, that much.. For wiring neatness i preferred it over there..

90% done.. All that is left is pulling all outside wires into the cab...

Here is rear zr4

I took black metal license plate frame and cut the bottom off of it just wide enough for shifter to fit.. Missouri is picky about anything covering the plate so I mounted the shifter low so it does not cover "Missouri" or anything else... Might not be ideal placement, but it was the most hidden effective spot I could find..

Well, that's a good thing then... Everything done.. Out on test drive, man this thing is sensitive. Going to do a write up with all the pictures and tips.. Took more time planning everything and maybe 4 hours total time installing and updating...

What do you mean sensitive? As in alerting on cops or just on doors and what not? I'm thinking about getting the 9500ix with a blendmount then hardwire it so no cords visable..that way I'll still have the option in changing vehicles easy. And later add in laser thing

I drove by police station and about a mile away, it started going off. Which is great! I was just surprised how quickly it alerted to a leo sitting in the parking lot filling out paperwork.

Here is what is visible on my K 40 install:

Laser defuser is under the front license plate.

Here is all you see of the K40 in the interior-- nothing. the LED is in the pic (two of them mounted center).
Left one indicates front radar, right one indicates rear radar. Visual and audio warning, tells type of radar and location.

Remote allows you to operate all functions with a simple push of a button.

The new K40 allows you to mount multiple laser defusers at different locations.
