Do the spark plugs in the 6.2 have the breaking off problem that some of the earlier engines had? Are they of that same design?

Yes, they are. And don't forget to put some anti-sieze on them before reinstalling....

The 6.2 spark plugs are different the the 5.4 3v plugs had. The design change was mid 08 when they made the whole plug end threaded. There was another thread on them being difficult to remove.

Is the hole threaded all the way down, or is it like on the old engine where the open ends get crudded up?

I'm going to assume they are fully threaded. They are still newer so I haven't had one apart yet. I know the ego boost is fully threaded and I'm sure they are similar.

The head is threaded all the way, I have one appart right now for a supercharger and they are not the same style as the ones that broke off like in the 5.4 3V engines. I still suggest using a high temp nickel anti seize when installing new plugs

What is the best plug on the market?
I have the 5.4 with almost 50000 miles and I'd like to change mine.

Any thoughts on the Denso Iridium Power Spark Plugs.

You can never go wrong with the stock plugs.
What is the stock plug? Copper, iridium?

I had a buddy back in the Air Force that shot a plug through his Lightning. That was a very bad day. He spent about 6 grand on a new head. Truck had just come off of warranty.

Denso is supposed to be very good. I have always been happy with NGK. Bosch also has some good stuff too
