if you cut your antenna, make sure to do it in 3in increments until you get to the desired length. antennas are 31 inches for a reason, so just any random cut can possibly diminish your reception

I bought an aftermarket antenna from Advanced Auto Parts and had it on for awhile. I decided to cut my original antenna down to keep from hitting my garage and when I went to remove the aftermarket it was stuck. Some how the threads had welded together and I ended up having to buy a new antenna mount. Cutting the antenna down was easy and I have not noticed any lost reception. I used JB weld to reattach the ball back on.

My buddy just got antenna x for this Toyota truck and says its amazing and great reception. But they didn't list our truck on there. Thoughts?
