These are nice lights and might be well worth the money, but D2's if this is the light that you are comparing them to is 2600 Lumens each so a pair would be 5200 lumens. A pair of D2's costs around the same as one Whelen.

You can't compare 1 Whelen against 2 D2s, 2 against 1 right? 2 Whelens are over 7800 lumens, much higher than 5200....Also, I would like to see how much each additional rigid lens is. I think having 4 different lenses is a large bonus, say if you decide to move the lamp or realised you picked the wrong lens for the spot you chose. Or in various off-road enviroments, a different lens may produce better visibility.

Price wise , d2s are cheaper, but you would need almost full extra D2 lamp to equal 2 of the Micro-Pioneers, but they sell them in pairs so now you have 4 ($800), now you need to buy mounting brackets for all of these ($$) ...see where i am going with this?

One Whelen is about twice the price of a D2 but is not twice the lumens, That is my comparison and yes the D2's do come with a bracket and wiring harness.
Maybe for the extra money the lenses make it worth wild?
I have some Whenlen lights for my other truck but they were expensive.
What is the warranty and customer service like with these lights?

I'm not sure where you are getting twice the price from... 1 whelen is $325, 2 rigid are $380, divide that by 2 that's $190 each , not half of $325. Oh and i can't find a listing to purchase just 1, D2. So your point is null because rigid is offering a bulk discount by purchasing 2. meaning, you wouldn't buy them at the single unit price because they would be much more expensive. But they can offer you 2 at a better price, its what's called economies of scale.

Oh and i stand corrected, rigid is giving away Ford Raptor bumper mounts for their lights
http://www.RigidIndustries.com/ShoppingCart.asp

Oh wait their not. And actually now i do see single D2 for sale, at $200 each.

Dude I'm not saying rigid leds aren't good, but i think what I have is better. Furthermore this isn't the public forum, this is my spot to try to make my business more successful and sell products, start a thread in the lighting section if you want to argue about this, here is not the place.

Whelen offers a 5 year warranty, but guarantee the lights for 100,000 hours. It's all on the website

As of right now the price is $325 per lamp, I'm working on getting them a little cheaper, but these are twice the light for only a little more cost, than the other guys out there. And they actually come with 4 lenses, 1 spot, 3 floods. 3800 lumens, 3.75 watts per led w/12 leds. They are amazing and are rugged as all hell.

You brought up the comparison to other lights, other wise I would not have posted my thoughts on the mater.
I said nothing bad about Whelen lights. Just my thoughts on lumens and price comparison.
So I guess If some one has a different way of looking at this they should not discuss it with you but take it some place else:hail:.

So by your logic, I should have somebody go over to ADD page and start comparing prices of inches of tubing per cost of unit on WSI chase racks or bumpers against theirs. Got it . Let's see how that flies. You started this not me. I'm just trying to sell an led light.

People are fairly intelligent enough to do their own comparisons, and actually, with this "discussion" we are having I think that let's the Whelen shine even brighter. Pun intended.

I know what your saying but I am not a vendor but a consumer of these lights I have both Whelen and Rigid. You made a statement about these lights that I did not agree with, so I voiced my opinion that is all. I did not realize till you mentioned it that this may not be the correct forum for this discussion. So I Respect that and have not or will not make such comparisons under WSI headings.
I had I disagreement about lumens and bang for the buck with another vendor on this sight on his page selling lights, he was a gentlemen about it and in the end I could see his point and totally agreed with him.

I re-read through what i had written, and if wasn't being civil, I sincerely apologize. Other than the bracket thing, that was a little impolite . Put yourself in my shoes and any other vendors shoes for that matter and you may change your mind about doing this in their sections.
