Just an FYI about the silver heat sink on the back of each taillight. They will get hot when the brakes or turn signals are on because they house the resistors which make the amperage draw equal to the OEM lights. The resistors give off the extra energy as heat. This is completely normal and as long as you don't touch them and burn yourself all is well!!!! hahaa

These look awesome!!!
What is smoked about them? Is the outter lenses tinted, or is the inner housing blacked out like Ducati does. I'm trying to see if these would be legal in states that have laws that say you cannot tint your tail lights.

Clear, smoked lenses. The reflectors for the LEDs are not smoked. They have a set that are red, smoked lenses. I'll see if I can find and post pics.

Phy this is good stuff to hear. I've got the smoked tails, the 3rd brake, and the lense covers sitting in the garage waiting for me to have some free time. I hope my install goes as smooth as yours.

Hey Baldwin. I started having the same problems. Got to troubleshooting and found out my lower black connectors (not the white ones) were not seating correctly. I could jiggle the connector and it would go from fast to slow like yours.

I got out a pair of pliers and conan'ed them together and all's well now. Take a quick look and make sure your connectors are seating correctly. They looked good on mine, but until I applied some pressure they didn't fit quite right.
