Interior Windshield Light Bar

So I saw this picture of some raptor assault trucks on social media and noticed the interior light bars they have at the top of their windshields.

With some searching I found they're made by a company called MPower Lights and they make a bolt in kit for the Gen 2 as well. Youtube videos show an easy install and light output seems pretty good. It's certainly not cheap but it seems promising and a decent option for getting lights high up without introducing wind noise, reducing roof clearance, or having to drill into the roof.

Anybody have experience with these or something similar?

I’ve installed quite a few of those from SoundOff, Whelen also offers them…..they are interior light bars for emergency vehicles. Typically seen in red/blue, but available in pretty much any color. Several flags patterns (25+) plus steady burn. Interior light bars like that really are not meant for off-road lighting as the optics are not designed for that type of use.
I have a set in my truck from Brooking Technologies (full disclosure, that’s who I work for ) and I do like our interior set up better. Ours is much thinner and less noticeable from the inside.
Here are some pics of my set up. Not the best pictures since the sun was facing the camera, and mine are also behind a 35% tinted windshield and a 5% strip.

The way they advertise it seems like it is meant for off roading. This video gives a decent idea on light output.

First, I like this idea and while some say it’s pricey, it’s also in the range of B/D lights.

However, I do see the potential pitfall for off roading. The lighting is close in, zone 1, with a wide throw. Spots with a tight beam pattern would be a better use for lights with this much elevation.

Would they work? Sure. Would they help? sure. But, in dusty conditions, etc. you’re going to have to shut them off to see.

Been debating purchasing a set of visor strobes (care less about offroad use) to supplement my in grill Feniex T-3s and Fusion S2 Dash. Feniex makes a vehicle specific kit, is Brooking Tech's vehicle specific? Anymore information on install/price point? Interior pics?

Did you end up getting the Mpower lights? Have also thought about the interior light bar and rear chase/dust light offerings but harder to find images/reviews/examples of those other than people seeing/using them at Raptor Assault.

I have not, too many other things gobbling up my wallet at the moment. Hoping next year I can start throwing lighting upgrades at my truck.

I was just curious about bounce back against the windshield at night. I have run emergency lights over the years that were pretty obnoxious with bounce back into the cabin.

Good point, I’d like a Offroad demo of these also an inside pic at night showing how much light is in the cab.
