Okay just completed the install and went for a test drive. WOW does that air temp gauge sink like a stone every time I give her a hard pull!

Install took a little over 2 hours, a huge thank you to @cdiddy4224 for the excellent write up, and especially giving a heads up on the fans going in first before the IC. With his write up, I’m not sure it could be done much faster unless you had a second hand and a lift. I actually found removing that plastic shroud easy with a pry tool and flat head. Hardest part for me by far was lining everything up and getting the massive IC into place. It’s impossible without a jack. As noted in my previous post, there is some play with the fan assembly because the titan is taller than OEM. I solved that with some metal spacers. I offroad fairly hard and anything loose makes me very nervous.

Thanks again and shoutout to @CVF-Jason and the team for such an incredibly high quality product!

If anyone's in the market our Black Friday sale is live! Our best sale of the year (10% off plus free shipping and no taxes added) on any CVF-branded products with code TURKEY22
Saw this after I ordered today. Customer service was able to help me retroactively apply the discount within minutes, top notch as always! Can’t wait to run the IC for many years!

Thanks for this. Had been debating between the Mishimoto and the CVF intercoolers and was already leaning to the CVF Titan v2 due to larger size. This tipped it all the way. Order placed. Probably should have gone with the CVF intercooler on my Explorer ST but that’s water under the bridge.

Also, thanks to everyone who’s been posting on the install process. Very helpful. Looking forward to putting this into the Raptor.

Once everything is out, you’ll need to remove the shroud around the shutters also referred to as the air guides. This isn’t optional, as the Titan 2 needs all the room it can get. There are snap on type connectors that need to be popped off. The hardest part is reaching the connectors on the top of the shroud.

I just ordered the Titan V2 and hot & cold pipes and planning the install, thanks for this writeup. So am I correct that the shutters themselves are still operational after the install since only the shroud is removed?

Correct, they are plugged in and still functional.

Was planning on upgrading the intercooler before summer roles around and this might be perfect for me. Planning on staying with stock bumpers and no tune (we’ll see…). My hope is to keep my factory warranty intact as much as possible on this truck. What would be the benefit of a FMIC over this?

Also, are you guys staying with the OEM blow off valve? Any benefits to adding the turbo smart when installing the intercooler?

A FMIC might give you better cooling temps, but not running a tune is a moot point. I plan on running a tune in the not so far future, and have no worries using this IC.
I believe adding an aftermarket BOV just gives you more of that BOV sound. No real gains come from it, at least to my understanding.
