Is it that important to Gen 2 owners to rip out half the front of their truck to accommodate a 37inch tire. The funny part is that the Gen 2 according to many ford and other car engineers is not meant to have 37s and will only cause issues. Do you agree?

I think that it is just swap out of springs or collars added to the shocks and some leafs in the back. I don't think that qualifies as ripping out half of the front of the truck.

You posted in the Gen3 thread but, to your question, it's not all that hard to fit 37s. With the right offset (close to stock) and 12.5 width tire, a simple leveling kit/collar will prevent rubbing on normal driving. If you're gonna send the truck hard, new springs and/or fenders would be a good idea but really only for full compression.

Yes, never buy a 37. Get a 35 truck and add a 6 in lift with 40's rollin on dubs.
