Contacted 5 star and haven't heard back yet. Via email and tried to phone in.

As mentioned above, I have a X3 5 star unit. Bought it in 2013 for my 2012 Raptor 6.2. It's been great.

Had the (Transmission downshift recall 19S07) so I took it (after reverting back to stock tune) and had my dealer perform recall.

Is there any reason I cannot reinstall my 5 star tune?

Do I risk this whole possible downshift situation if I put a custom tune on it?

My V3 is no longer supported by 5 star so I'll have to purchase a new tuner if it is not advised.

Thanks!

Same thing just happened to me as well. Gives me code 110DD after dealer and my SCT won’t let me put it “back to stock” or anything. Says it’s married to truck. Never had any issues until now

You should be fine since you put it back to stock before the dealer visit.

The calibration should always be returned to factory before bringing the truck to the dealer for any software updates. Often, the aftermarket calibration will prevent the Ford update from installing properly. In your case, it sounds like the Ford update overwrote your tune. So now the tuner doesn’t recognize the current calibration and won’t let you reprogram anything.

^This is great practice for any tuner/piggyback for any modern vehicle. I see threads like this constantly on another brand forum I mod on. It sucks when it happens to people.

Returned to stock program prior to bring to dealer for the programing for the lead pan / down hill recall and I also now can't reflash with my 5 star tune.

I'll try contacting 5 Star this week. Will post results.
