Update: Ford and dealers seem to have changed how orders go.

My dealer is getting 6 23MY Raptor R's

July 18th my dealer contacted me and said order banks were open and what color, options did I want. I had assumed the orders were placed that day but turns out they did not get actual allotments at that point. Wednesday July 27th their rep told them they would be getting 6 Raptor R's. Dealer called me to say since I was #3 on list I should be getting one.

At that time I thought it was a done deal but were going by what rep told them.

RaptorR orders are unlike anything else I have seen.

The actual allotments appear to be different from what the rep has told dealers.

It does sound like actual Allotments started to happen last week with R #1 being submitted and today R #2
I will post again once dealer says Allotment for my truck is actually submitted.

So many dealers placing orders without proper Allotment so it appears.
Getting something from ford about a order simply does not mean you will actually get one without dealer getting the proper allotment.
If they are only making 2400 of them, I just don't see how one dealer gets 6 allocations considering there are over 3,000 dealers.

I wish Ford was more clear with the whole process

Give up on the trolling. This wouldn't be the first and won't be the last info leaked out of FMC.

Do you have any information to actually add to the thread other than speculating that the only numbers we've seen aren't true based on your insider information from within Ford?

One of the largest factors is customer satisfaction. The survey says…
Another is what are the dealers sales.
Not only that this dealer sells all specialty vehicles at MSRP.

I would not be surprised if they get more than 6 in the end. How many dealers can say they already have 2 RaptorR called in for scheduling? I could care less if you believe it or not i know it to be true.

I know a small town dealer getting 2 RaptorR and 4 Bronco Raptors.

Makes sense the dealers with bad CSI get nothing, there are plenty of them for good reason.

Absolutely spectacular build, if I may what drove you to use a raptor engine over any other available engine? It's unique and awesome I just want to know as a fellow gearhead.
Did you want the long or short version.
My 40 yr dream was to have a dual quad 427 in truck with a CobraJet C-6. I did that but instead of going carbs i did dual quad EFI. Supposed to be 1600.00 total. When i got to 5,000.00 invested in efi and it flat out didn’t work proper, i was getting 5mpg i had no $$ left to keep trying. I had $$ offer so decided to go late model engine with EFI. Since i already had 3 EcoBoost swaps going decided maybe 5.0 Coyote and actually bought a 2018 donor truck but damage was so minimal i fixed it in 3 days.

About that time i heard Ford released 5 Raptor crate engines and right place right time i got engine #4 for 25% of the combo i had just pulled out.

I decided to build a long distance cruiser with more power than i just had. Go from 5 mpg to 25 mpg.

Preview of what i removed. Tons of power & tq but knew i could do better with Raptor engine. Since I don’t want same as everyone else and HP per $ went R 3.5

Since i had already built a truck with a 3.5 knew what to expect to up the ante
400 RWHP it ran 13.0 1/4 and would see 30 mpg at 45-50 mpg.

Currently have 5 EcoBoost swaps going…
Don’t get me wrong total love the Gen3 5.0 but it’s what everyone else is doing. Absolutely 5.0 cant come close to matching hp per $$ up to say 600 rwhp.

Put a good tune in any eco and they do well.

I have a 1965 N7000 getting a 3.5
Also have a prototype 3.5 that has Ford Gt turbos on it that Ford donated installed in a MiNT 1966 F250 Ranger.
