Love this writeup! I have a couple questions that when answered might be able to be added to the top as I suspect there are a few more interested
1. Does a dealer know if the allocation is eligible for a 37 pack or not before the allocation is claimed?

2. does ford do multiple rounds of allocations at different times of the year or did a dealer see all their allocations for the coming model year on (or around) the first day the order banks opened? Basically if I call a dealer that says "would love to sell you one at msrp but we do not have any allocations remaining", are they dead until MY '24 or worth following up

3. While the Ford official spray-in bedliner is done at the factory, confirm all of the ford official accessory tonneau covers are dealer installed?

FWIW i copy pasted all the ford dealers + contact info in my state to excel so when i start calling shortly I can track responses...

****here is to the supply chain shortages abating and ford getting more of these out the door

@xlover Partially answered... #1, #2

The annual allocation for specialty vehicles (Shelby, Raptor, Raptor R) is determined at the beginning of the Model Year and the Dealers earning allocation notified. The actual Raptor allocation can be granted at any time during the Model Year, with the Ford Zone Manager notifying the Dealer approximately 2-4 weeks of applicable commodity restraints prior to a Raptor order being scheduled. The Raptor allocation doesn't appear on the allocation reports and is handled internally through the Regional Scheduler and Dearborn as to what production week the Raptor will be assigned. The actual scheduling for specialty vehicles (Shelby, Raptor) is done manually.

No answer on the Official Tonneau cover re/ factory or dealer-install yet.

Hmm so does this mean if I didn't get an email after the order was submitted, that my dealer tricked me and put a stock order in instead of retail?

I'm not sure on how long it took for others to get an email, but I received my confirmation order from Ford within 30 minutes of the order being submitted. I know the dealer and manager well in third in line for 2 allocations, hoping I get lucky. I did get a priority code of 10 tho on my order sheet. So that's good-ish?

Another question! (2 parts)

Is there any risk or penalty in having retail orders in with multiple dealerships? Basically Will ford notice if the same email is attached to orders at different dealers and take some kind of action.

Second, is putting in multiple orders in worthwhile?

Scenario a dealer very close to me will put in an order at MSRP but they were upfront they do not have allocations left based on the number they were given from ford. However they encouraged me to still put the order in in case someone backs out (they know ppl are actively scouring lots to get one sooner) or ford does another wave of additional allocations (less likely)

What i want to be sure is that will not be detrimental to continuing to shop around.

I don’t think there is any risk or penalty for multiple orders. I put in three orders
( different dealers and dates ) and nobody noticed.
good luck
