After doing a lot of reading and comparing reviews, I've decided to go with the Falken Wildpeak A/T 3W's since the Nitto Recon Grappler tires are not 3-peak mountain snowflake rated. I was also looking at the Toyo Open Country A/T 3's, but the Falkens were better on dry/wet/icy roads. The Toyo's did do a little better on off road/trails but most of my driving would be on roads here in Colorado.

315-70-17 Falken Wildpeak A/T 3W Are on! Finally changed out the BF Goodrich OEM's KO after 12 years. Just didn't feel safe on tires that old even thou they looked brand new with 19,000 miles on them. I like the looks and ride feel of the Falkens but will have to drive on them and hit some snow and trails to really now if my research pays off. I apologize to @John M BUNMAN for not waiting to take these couple of pictures before I lathered on the tire shine :D *update* Noticed today that these tires balanced (still smooth at 80 mph) with way fewer weights then the old KO's!

I am gonna take the plunge and try the Nitto Recons. There the floatation/ metric sizes and LT sizes available. Not exactly sure I can get the metric size - sent email directly to Nitto who list them on there website but have “0” in stock. Appears they were made, if they do exist, as a direct replacement for OEM KO2s. 315/70/17, 6ply. I do like the ride with the KO2s no complaints, got 40k miles out of them. I have been heavy on the throttle. Been off road ( dirt, mud, gravel, no rock crawling) enough to get mouse bites throughout on the KO2s but nothing major. Spend 90% on road and 10% off road, live in TX so snow not a real concern. Just wanna try something new. Will report out after the change. My biggest concern is the LT is a 10ply and may make the ride more harsh. The KO2s have done well to keep the ride comfortable on road but i have to say I have Deavers in back and they were a definite game changer for comfort. Will see how it goes, fingers crossed.
