I have been saying this for 3 years now. Nobody on this forum is going to sniff a raptor R for less then $150k, and $200k is in the ball park.

This is a halo truck like the Ford GT. It is designed to create traffic / marketing for the attainable cars like a normal Raptor or F150.

1,000,000 f150's are sold each year, like 2% are going to be R's

If this is true, I'll probably buy a '24 and it will be my last Ford. Maybe once I'm too old to go off road any more and the cost to own ICE gets stupid high or it gets really inconvenient, I'll go electric. Dunno. I think the move to EV is oversold and FMC will get caught with their pants down. We'll see. Go woke, go broke. Or as a very smart man once said "Everything woke turns to shit.".
Work trucks will be electric by my28 as well.

No they won’t.
Even if the USA adopted a hard/fast rule requiring commercial vehicles to be electric by 2030, it won’t happen. Not without severe consequences.

First will be that contractors will start charging a lot more $$$ for routine stuff to afford a fancy electric. 2nd will be that power grids in at risk states like CA and TX will start crying uncle really fast. There will be electricity rationing, and a quick walk back of any all electric mandate, be it government, private industry or a combination.

A dryer, running on a 35-40a circuit costs about $10 / hour. electric F150 charges on an 80a circuit for several hours. How much per day is that going to cost?

Unless batteries make a quantum leap in efficiency and weight reduction in the next 10 years, we’re going to be on petrol-fuels for at least another generation or 2.
